New Years Eve. A night of fuzzy memories, strange bed fellows, odd occurences and inexplicable happenings.

  Things on New Years Eve have a way of getting very strange with this crowd. In years past we have had:

• Visits to the hospital
• Breakups
• Makeups
• Fakeups
• Shakeups (had to throw that in there, it rhymes and has no other reason for being here)
• STranger bed fellows than usual
• Alchohol in amazing quantities
• P-O-S-S-E-S-I-O-N-!-!-!
• Fireworks
• Snowball fights
• Randoms
• Contests
  • Drinking
  • Fencing
  • Story Telling
  • Pyrotechniks
  • Punching
    • people
    • and walls
  • Jumping
    • over
    • through
    • onto
    • and off of
  • cooking
  • and eating
• and of course Hookups

  Some people understand every item on that list others have heard of them, but I promiss that and MUCH MUCH more has happened and will probably happen again.

  We have had many New Years Eve parties over the years. The first two were at Ari's house in Westchester. Then we moved to Aliza's house in Englewood, which was cool and made for a nice backdrop to a whole new round of odd occurences. Two years at that location and it was time to move on. We did last year(New Years Eve '98) at my house in Monsey, but due to my lack of attention to such details as my sister hiding the alchahol and turning off the heat, it was a less than fantastic time. In fact it was the only New Years Eve to date with no known odditties which is an odditty in and of itself. This year we are back to basics, taking over an old venue for a tried and true strange kickoff to the new year. Ari has volunteered to host once again though he has not said if it will be in Westchester or Vermont. We shall have to see what wonders this shal bring.
