At the most recent(as of 4/7/97) Weekend at Loren's: Westchester eddition,
Shaun joined us for a drinking/card game. The game goes like this:
everyone is dealt X number of cards, and they cannot have more than that
number in their hand at any time. Then the dealer picks a card up from
the deck and decides to keep it or pass it on. In either case a card is
passed on to the next person who makes the same decision and then a card
is passed on and so forth. The object is to be the first to get 4 of a
kind and stick your tounge out. Once someone has stuck their tounge out
everyone can stick their tounge out, and the last person to do so must
drink. You must also drink if you cheat(like sticking your tounge out
first but not having four of a kind) in any way. We played in teams of
two, one person holding the cards and one person watching everybody elses
faces.
When Shaun learned how to play he was given the job of watching other
people's faces. He immediatly poked his partner in the ribs, that he
should put his tounge out. Their team did not have four of a kind, and
they were the first to stick their tounges out. Shaun dranmk for the team
because it was his fault they lost. The rules were explained to him again
and another round was dealt, with the same results. After another two
rounds like this shaun tried to play for real but was far enough gone that
he was losing anyway. Shaun thouroly enjoyed that game.
