The Link of the Moment!

This Moments link is:   a WIRED news story on LEGO robots Lego has come up with a brand new use for their education toys, programable robots. They can be built like regular Legos but they have a CPU 'block' and of course electric motors and sensors and an IR port to program them with. its very cool, take a look.(9/24/98)

Past Links of the Moment are listed below.

Any sugestions on good links? I take all suggestions, though I put up only what I choose. The Link of the Moment changes as I wish, some links have stayed up for a day, soem for a week, and maybe longer.

  1. The Main Quad A cool/usefull page oriented to (semi)serious college students. Check out their instant resume feature.(5/14/97)
  2. Tripod's Resume Resource List. This is a listing of 22 sites that will post your Resume for free, some will even send it out to companies or inform you of jobs. This is very usefull.(5/28/97)
  3. Deleteme.com This is a service from 212.net that will add your address to a list. This list is comprised of people who do NOT want junk e-mail. Seeing as how the laws on junk e-mail are about to change, having your name on this list could be very usefull.(5/29/97)
  4. The DES Challange This is an organised attempt to break the Digital Encryption Standard. Actually it was broken, oddly enough by a guy using a 386 on weekends just for the hell of it. the page is still up and shows who contributed how much computing power to the effort. There is also an online copy of the press release. Its worth a look.(6/9/97)
  5. Menus Online This is a usefull little page I first saw advertised onscreen at Sony Theaters. It is an online listing of Mensu for many of the returants in almost a dozen cities. Check it out.(4/20/98)

  6. Blizzard.com Home page to the creator so WarCraft I and II and now the creators of StarCraft, the long awaited .....sequal?....heir?....decendant?... to one of the greatest or at least most popular strategy games in computer history(which is admitedly not that long). There is unfortionately no free demo, but lots of screen shots and information. It may be worth a look.(6/20/98)
  7. Slashdot.org is a really amazing news zine. Most of it is computer industry stuff, but there is a smattering of the starnge and bazzar. Usually it is a worthwhile read, especially if you want to stay currnet with technology. (9/9/98)
